Popular choices would likely include the clubs of Alwoodley, Gotts Park, Moor Allerton, Oulton Park and Headingley, as well as the Leeds Golf Club, all of which welcome visitors. The Headingley Golf Club is especially notable, since this is the city's oldest club and was founded all the way back in the 1890s. You may also like to consider a round at Woodhall Hills, where green fees comprise various packages, some of which include coffee, bacon rolls, a full-English breakfast and a two-course evening meal.

Ranking amongst the United Kingdom's top 50 courses, the Alwoodley Golf Club is a notable 18-hole championship course with a yardage of 6,600 and excellent facilities. This course is particularly scenic and offers a warm welcome to visitors. The club was founded in 1907, with the spacious clubhouse dating from the mid-1990s.

Of interest, this is a particularly historic club, being founded in 1896, and is the home of the famous Leeds Cup, professional golf's oldest trophy.

The Moor Allerton Golf Club is spread around some 220 acres / 90 hectares of gorgeous Yorkshire countryside and comes with natural streams, lakes, woodland areas and a backdrop of distant hills. There are 27 holes in total, which can be played as three loops of nine, together with well-maintained greens and instructors. Moor Allerton is highly regarded and rates as one of the best courses in the city.

Professional tuition is available, with 40-minute and hourly lessons offered, while the pro shop is stocked with the latest equipment.
